Our Story

SWC Autobody didn’t start as a group. It started as a promise.

In 1985, Patrick and Cynthia Gray opened Sunn West City’s Auto Body in the West Valley of Phoenix with a straightforward commitment: treat every customer like family, and treat every vehicle like it matters. Four decades later, that promise hasn’t changed — it’s just grown into something bigger.

What began as a single community shop has become a four-location autobody group serving drivers across the greater Phoenix metro and northern Arizona. From the West Valley to the East Valley, from the desert suburbs to the mountain communities of Prescott, SWC Autobody has earned the trust of thousands of Arizona drivers — one repair at a time.

We’re still family-owned and operated. Patrick and Cynthia still show up. And the values that built this business — transparency, craftsmanship, and genuine care for the people we serve — still drive everything we do.

Our state-of-the-art computerized color matching ensures your vehicle leaves looking exactly the way it should: like nothing ever happened.

Our Surprise location holds OEM certifications from: Honda, Acura, Subaru, Mazda, GM, Chrysler, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Infiniti, BMW, Genesis, Mini, Dodge, Mopar, Fiat, Ram, and Alfa Romeo.

Our Mesa location holds OEM certifications from: Honda and Acura.

Our original location, and the heart of everything SWC Autobody has become. Sunn West City’s Autobody has been serving the West Valley since 1985 — making it one of the most established collision repair shops in the region. With the largest team in the group, the deepest OEM certification portfolio, and awards including recognition from Yelp and the West Valley Favorites, this location has built a reputation that speaks for itself.

Sunn West City’s holds OEM certifications from 18 manufacturers — from Honda and BMW to Subaru, Kia, Genesis, and Alfa Romeo — making it one of the most comprehensively certified shops in Arizona. It’s also the only location with a GM direct repair designation and offers a virtual tour for customers who want to see the facility before they visit.

Our Prescott location — known locally as SWC Downtown Paint and Body — brings big-city autobody capability to the Quad Cities area with the personal service that a community like Prescott deserves. The team here has over 100 combined years of experience, including a 30-year Army veteran painter, a General Manager born and raised in Prescott, and Honda and Acura OEM certification.

This is a shop that knows its neighbors. Many customers here have been coming for years — and they send their friends. Located on Miller Valley Road, SWC Downtown Paint and Body serves Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and the surrounding mountain communities.
